American Chopper for charity

It’s not often you would associate a bunch of pirate-looking bikies with charity, but at American Chopper that’s a lot of what they’re all about.
Paul Teutul, Sr., Paul Teutul, Jr., Michael Teutul, Vinnie DiMartino, Rick Petko and Cody Connelly spend hours in their Orange County workshop arguing, buffooning about and building some of the most rousingly unique custom made choppers, most of which they auction off for charity.
The unveiling of the EDS Byron Nelson OCC (Orange County Chopper) Chopper at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship Pro Am is just the latest in the series. The Chopper is one of three, identically built in memory of the late Byron Nelson, (1996) one of the greatest American PGA Tour golfers of all time.
One of the bikes will be auctioned off online for the Bryon Nelson charity -the Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centres, the other will be awarded to the winner of the Pro Am, and the third will be kept by EDS and used to raise awareness of the Championship and it’s charity.
The hard working grease monkeys were excited at the unveiling and commented about the bikes.
We’ve never built three identical theme bikes at the same time before, much less for such an important purpose to be awarded to the champion of a PGA Tour event and, even better, to raise money for a great charity.

The OCC American Chopper gang is already hard at work on their next chopper for charity.
