Angelina Jolie Funding Boost for AIDS Center

Angelina Jolie, through The Jolie-Pitt Foundation, has just donated $2 million to the Global Health Committee to help build an AIDS Center in Ethiopia, to be named after her Ethiopian adopted daughter, Zahara.
The center will be modeled on the successful Maddox Chivan Childrens Center in Cambodia, providing children with medical, education and social services.
‘Our goal is to transfer the success we have had in Cambodia to Ethiopia where people are needlessly dying of tuberculosis, a curable disease, and HIV/AIDS, a treatable disease,’ Jolie said in a statement to People.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt plan to have Zahara run the AIDS Center when she grows up.
