The Melbourne Aquarium was transformed into a beautiful backdrop, entertaining guests for the GOYA Foundation Youth Committee’s inaugural “A Splash of Compassion†Cocktail Event.
The gala evening was an event that featured a range of musical and other performances, and provided a fine culinary accompaniment of cocktails and a small feast of finger food.
The night was also envlivened by having guests bid for items in a simultaneously held silent auction.
The proceeds from the night will go to The GOYA Foundation. The Foundation was established in 2004 by Felicity Fraser (and supporters).
Having worked with overseas communities since 1997, Felicity created GOYA to grow support for women in positions of leadership in developing countries like Papua New Guinea and Timor Leste (East Timor).
The Goya Foundation believes that the women they support can effect change and will influence the lives of many of the people in developing countries.
A Splash of Compassion was solely organised by 12 young women who have committed to supporting the GOYA Foundation.
It was a stellar charity event that entertained and catered for everyone who attended.
