The 10th anniversary of Mother Teresa’s death has been honored by the continuation of her charity legacy, which not only lives on, but has grown and expanded throughout the world.
The order founded by the Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1950, the Missionaries of Charity, has expanded and now has more than 4 800 sisters and 750 homes across the globe.
Mother Teresa died on September 5, 1997. Sister Nirmala served as the spokesperson for the charity.
