Beethoven's Hair DiamondBeethoven’s hair has been turned into a diamond to be auctioned off for charity, by LifeGem®.

Ludwig’s lock has been cultivated into one of the rarest gems in the world and will sell for $1 000 000 on eBay.

Experts exposed carbon extracts from his hair to extremely high temperatures before putting it under enormous weight for two weeks, in which time, it turned into about a half carat diamond.

The diamond made from Beethoven’s hair will be up for auction for the Life Gem’s®  charity initiatives until September 29.
