Congo Gorillas Under Threat

Congo GorillasA charity is campaigning to enlist park rangers to protect rare mountain gorillas in Congo that are under direct threat from gunfire between rebel forces and government troops.

Ten mountain gorillas have already been killed since January, and two are missing from the Virunga National Park, where the fighting is underway.

Wildlife conservationists are outraged at the total disregard for the already highly endangered Congo gorillas that will remain under threat until a resolution can be found.
