Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane Oscar Auction

Citizen KaneThe Oscar Orson Welles received for best screenplay for the cult classic Citizen Kane, from where the famous utterance ‘Rosebud’ comes from, will go up for auction.

Sotheby’s auction house priced the item between $800 000 and $1.2 million.

The award was the only Oscar Orson ever received from the Academy.

The Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane Oscar auction is on December 11, the award will displayed for three days before the auction at Sotheby’s in New York.
