Thursday, November 22nd, 2007 by magenta 0 comments to this post
The Australian iconic Yooralla Jingle originally sung by Venetta Fields, John Paul Young, Wendy Stapleton, Tommy Emmanuel, Enza Pantano, Colin Stephen and Sharon Cambridge with Rod Quantock on percussion, will get a musical shushing and be transformed into an anthem for the 00’s through the Yooralla Jingle Challenge.
Musos of blues, folk, punk, hip hop, heavy metal or any genre are being asked to submit cover versions of the famous little ditty.
Ten finalists will perform their tunes live at Melbourne’s Federation Square, infront of a panel of expert music industry judges.
The winner will go on to spend a day in a recording studio.
The Yooralla Jingle Challenge closes March 28.
