Elton John Academy Awards Charity Viewing Party Raises $5 Million US

Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, Sharon Stone, Heidi Klum, Harrison Ford, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi, Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder helped raise over $5 million US for charity, at the Elton John Academy Awards Viewing Party.
The funds were raised from auction items including Sharon Stone’s own ‘74 convertible Corvette, a Helmut Newton photograph and a George Condo painting.
Prince had been tipped to perform at the Elton John Academy Awards Viewing Party but was a no show on the night.
