Mount Everest Virtual Challenge to Send Participants to the Top of an Imaginary Mountain
Friday, February 29th, 2008 by Alex Hutton 0 comments to this post

The Mount Everest Virtual Challenge is a unique fundraising event where participants use an on-line tracking system to gauge their progress as their approach the mountain summit.
Teams of up to fifteen people pay a $25 per person registration fee and receive a pedometer with their registration kit.
It takes 10,000 steps per person per day for a team of 15 to add up to 2.1 million steps, which is the number required to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
The Mount Everest Virtual Challenge is sponsored by Heritage Building Society, funds raised go to the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Brisbane Australia.
