Anita Roddick’s £51m Fortune Will to Charity

The late Dame Anita Roddick’s entire £51m fortune, from the sale of the Body Shop, was given to charity.
A reading of the Body Shop founder’s will revealed that she had already given her wealth to her foundation, leaving only £655,747 left, which was gobbled up by the taxman.
Before Dame Anita Roddick’s death she mentioned to the media that she was happy to give to charity but would not will any funds to family.
