Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter Fights To Free Japan Inmate

Amnesty International, Japanese boxers and Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter (the American boxer wrongly imprisoned for three murders) put on an event through the Japan Pro Boxing Association to help free Iwao Hakamada.
Hakamada, once a featherweight contender, was imprisoned for four murders in 1966.
He insists he is innocent, and so now does one of the presiding judges,
My feelings about Mr. Hakamada remain the same — I believe he is innocent
Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter spoke about Iwao Hakamada and Japan’s judicial system via video link at a special charity event earlier this week.
