Elton John’s star studded White Tie and Tiara Ball last Thursday night raised £10 million for charity.
While they were in town for Nelson Mandela’s 90th, Denzel Washington, Bill Clinton, Uma Thurman and Will Smith joined an A-guest-list that included Orlando Bloom, Elizabeth Hurley, Gordon Ramsay, Jemima Khan, Rod Stewart, Elle Macpherson and The Dark Knight actor Sir Michael Caine.
Helping make up the £10 million at the annual Elton John fundraiser was one bidder paying £750 000 for dinner with Bill Clinton at Gordon Ramsay’s New York restaurant.
