Christina Applegate, who will appear on the telethon Stand Up To Cancer, has herself been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Emmy award winning actress has a form of breast cancer which is not life threatening, and was fortunately diagnosed at a very early stage.
There are several stages of breast cancer, from invasive to advanced.
Regular checks can make a difference.
Christina Applegate is expected to recovery quickly from the breast cancer.
