Shakira Honoured for Charity Work at ALMA Awards

Shakira received an award for her extensive charity work at the 2008 ALMA (American Latino Media Arts) Awards, hosted by Eva Longoria Parker.
Ugly Betty’s America Ferrara took out the top honor of Chevy Entertainer of the Year and Charlie Sheen, Edward James Olmos, Roselyn Sanchez and Judy Reyes were among other award recipients.
Shakira is at the forefront of several different charities improving the lives of children in Colombia and Latin America, and is also a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
Fans and admirers can watch Shakira at the ALMA Awards, airing September in the US, on ABC.
