Sean Connery £1000 Charity Challenge
Monday, August 25th, 2008 by magenta 0 comments to this post
Sean Connery, currently celebrating his 78th birthday, has been given a £1000 charity challenge from The Real Mary King’s Close.
The challenge arose from Connery’s criticism of the Edinburg attraction, calling it ‘a Disneyfied haunted-house experience’.
Staff at the attraction have now challenged Connery (in Edinburgh launching his new book at the Edinburgh International Book Festival) to see for himself, pledging to give £1000 to charity if he doesn’t change his mind.
In turn if he does find himself in a humbling position, they’ve asked him to give £1000 to their nominated charity, the Sick Children’s Foundation.
The charity challenge was delivered to Sean Connery on Monday.
