Ben Affleck Tours Congo

Ben Affleck spoke to local kids and aid workers throughout refugee camps in DR Congo this week, in an effort to draw the world’s attention to the conflict that has left over 250 000 people in desperate circumstances.
Affleck has been to the region four times, and made a documentary about the war-torn state of the country.
‘I’m not an expert in international affairs or diplomacy, but it doesn’t take that to see the tremendous suffering here. It’s not something that we as human beings can, in good conscience, ignore,’ He said about the situation.
