Instead of spending the night of nights at one of the many parties around town, George Clooney was busy working on the campaign for a resolution for Darfur.
The Hollywood actor, who began the charity Not On Our Watch with his Ocean’s co-stars, has kept up momentum trying to find peace for the country and the people who have been deeply affected by the conflict there.
According to the United Nations more than 300 000 people have been killed in Darfur since 2003, when fighting broke out between rebels and the Sudanese government.
George Clooney is campaigning for Darfur in his role as messenger of peace for the United Nations.
