As if it's not bad enough to have the terribleCalifornia wildfires blazing across the US, there are charity scams that seek to take advantage of the tragedy.

Officials are warning people to beware of bogus charities soliciting funds on behalf of California wildfire victims.

They also add that unfortunately charity scams are common during and after disasters.

If you would like to help the victims of the California wildfires and notconribute tothe charity scams, then opt for an online donation with a longstanding trusted charity, or make contact with one at their offices to avoid collection confusion.
