The First Chevrolet Voltwill beavailaible for public purchasethrough an auctio, with money raised to supportmaths and science programs in Detroitpublic schools.
The Volt, which General Motors North America President Mark Reuss says is “a Testamant to the importance of Maths and sciences,” will benefit these ares of educations in the detroit school systems.
The hybrid electric car, the first of its kind released by GM America, heralds the autmotive manufacturers step into the 21st Century.
Detorit public Schools foundation President, Chacona. W Johnson, welcomed the auction, agrreeing thatKnowledge of science, technology, engineering, and math is critical for the success of our students in higher education, and in their future careers in the 21st century workforce.
