The charity auction to have dinner with Ben Affleck is ending in a matter of hours.

So far the dinner has caught the keen eye of a couple of bidders, bringing in more than $8000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, the same charity Steve Carrell supported with the charity premiere of Get Smart.

The auction is a precursor to the Boston Red Sox Jimmy Fund radio-appeal.

Ben Affleck currently has two films in the works, He's Just Not That Into You and State of Play also starring Russell Crowe, Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams and Helen Mirren.

The charity auction for dinner with Ben Affleck includes airfare, accommodation and reservations for four.
