Edward Norton Named United Nations Goodwill Ambassador

Edward Norton Goodwill Ambassador

Actor and activist Edward Norton has been named a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for Biodiversity.

Norton hopes to raise awareness of the UN's work with community development and conservation and will continue to serve as a board member of the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, as well as garner support for UN conservation efforts, while helping along the successful launch of a social networking initiative called Crowdrise.

'I think that Ambassadors in many ways can play a role in highlighting the models of success that the UN is promoting around the world,' Edward Norton said on his new appointment as a Goodwill Ambassador.
