JK Rowling Charity

Harry Potter author and philanthropist JK Rowling has backed a teenage boy's MS campaign, and also saved a support house from closure.

Rowling has joined Shine on Scotland in backing a Glasgow teenager, Ryan, who is campaigning for pregnant women and children to be given extra doses of vitamin D, which may prevent a large number of cases of MS.

Ryan's mother is an MS sufferer.

Braendam House in Scotland has also received support from JK Rowling, a massive injection of funds from the writer will help them stay open for almost another year.
