Kyle Paxman - Jilted bride turns wedding into Charity benefit

After Kyle Paxman found out her fiance had been cheating on her six weeks out from her wedding she turned her reception into a charity benefit.

Kylie Paxman, 29, planned to celebrate her nuptials at the Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain last Saturday - until she found out about her fiance cheating.

She called off the 180-guest wedding, the four-year relationship and looked to cancel the florist, band, and photographer - but she soon learned her money would not be reimbursed so Kylie Paxman and her mother turned the would be reception into a charity benefit for the Vermont Children's Aid Society and CARE USA.

The daughter and mother then sent out invitations to 125 women for drinks and a gourmet four-course dinner. In exchange, they hope the guests will make donations to the charities.

"I'm really just trying to turn it around and make something positive out of it," said Kyle Paxman.
