5K Run/Walk to benefit Special Olympics New Jersey

The Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5K for Special Olympics New Jersey takes place Sunday, April 29, 2012. The event benefits the more than 23,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities that train and compete in New Jersey year-round.

A USATF Grand Prix certified 5K race, the Lincoln Tunnel Challenge begins at the south tube of the tunnel in Weehawken. Participants then run or walk through the tunnel to NYC and back. Runners with 5K finish times of under 25 minutes will start at 8 a.m.; all other participants will start at 8:45 a.m.
