The Maui Paradise eco-friendly Marathon and Fun Runs will be held during whale migration season in Maui.
Entrants in the marathon, half marathon, 5km and kids untimed races will receive eco-friendly tips and advice in their running packs as part of an effort to keep Hawaii clean and green.
Holo Kohola the Whale was chosen specifically as the mascot to raise and increase awareness of environmental issues.
Races will start and finish at Kalama Beach Park in Kihei.
The Maui Paradise Marathon and Fun Runs are on January 11.
