The National Autistic Society (NAS), the UKs leading charity for people affected by autism, is inviting people to get on their bikes and take part in a fantastic new fundraising cycle event this July.
The Racecourse Bike Ride (12 July 2009) is a one-day cycling challenge, exclusive to The National Autistic Society, which starts and finishes at Epsom Downs Racecourse. Challengers can choose between a 50 mile and 100 mile loop with the 100 milers continuing across the South Downs and onto to Goodwood racecourse, before returning to Epsom.
Jonathan Gamble, a veteran NAS fundraiser said:
The Racecourse Bike Ride will be my fourth fundraising cycle ride for the National Autistic Society. As a parent of a child with autism, I know that the right support at the right time can make an enormous difference to families like mine and the work of the National Autistic Society is invaluable in providing that
support. I would encourage anyone thinking about getting involved to sign up!
To receive a place on the Racecourse Bike Ride you must pledge to raise at least 150 for the NAS in addition to a 30 registration fee.
By taking part you will be helping the over half a million people in the UK with autism and supporting NAS services including Advocacy for Education Service, Befriending scheme, Parent to Parent support service and help! programme.
