San Diego History 2016

In case you have not already heard the MADCAPS Class of 2021 (7th Graders) made such an incredible impression with their performance in this year’s benefit (“Africa Rocks”), they were invited to perform their dance at the San Diego History Center’s 2016 Makers of San Diego History dinner on Saturday, June 25, 2016.

We are extremely proud of the MADCAPS Class of 2021, their mothers, and the choreographer, Tammy Smith, for all their hard work and dedication. The dance proved to not only touch the hearts of our own members, families, and philanthropies, but it touched the folks at the San Diego History Center so much so that they chose to have our girls help represent and celebrate such a landmark in our city.

This year’s dinner is honoring the San Diego Zoo on its centennial anniversary. Our 7th Graders will help celebrate the Zoo’s 100th year and how it made history in its own time. Here is a link to the event to purchase tickets for you to join the fun. http://www.sandiegohistory.org/makersofhistory/

The San Diego History Center, through its annual Makers of San Diego History Dinner, honors those individuals, businesses, and institutions that have “made history in their own time.” This year, please join us as we celebrate the San Diego Zoo on its Centennial Year.
