Shelter Box Team To Help Philippines

Supported by Rotary Club, ShelterBox will bring more hope to Filipino people

Shelter Box is an innovative way to provide shelter and basic supplies. The Shelter Box is a large rubber box crammed full of disaster supplies, including a heavy-duty tent, water, tools, cooking equipment, and even toys for children. They have teamed up with Rotary clubs around the globe to send support to Filipino people who are now facing one of their worst disasters. Victims of Typhoon Haiyan are requesting urgent help and continue to ask for major assistance with clean water, food, shelter, medicines, Shelter Box had people in the Philippines assisting victims of the October earthquake. After sheltering from Typhoon Haiyan the Shelter Box team remain in the Philippines to assist with the Typhoon recovery program.

Shelter Box started in the United Kingdom. Sheler Boxes are still assembled and shipped from the U.K, The group’s U.S. headquarters is in Manatee County. At present Shelter Box team continues to provide support with new Shelter Boxes sent from Australia, Dubai and the U.K. headquarters to assist those affected by the typhoon.

A donation of $1,000 is required to sponsor a complete ShelterBox and Shelter Box takes donations of any amount to go to the provision of Shelter Boxes.
