The Glamour Women of the Year Awards was the place to be this year, with Cher and Oprah Winfrey making the event memorable.

Cher received the Lifetime Achievement Award and Julia Roberts, Fergie, Donatella Versace and Queen Rania of Jordan were among honorees at the event with other high profile guests including Kate Hudson and Hilary Swank.

'More than wealth, more than awards, feeling... harbor, feeling... peace... is what really makes you a powerful woman,' Oprah Winfrey said to Julie Roberts at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards event in New York.
