Congenital heart disease, a condition present at birth, affects millions worldwide. Addressing this issue is paramount, as early detection and advanced treatments can improve the lives of those born with these conditions. These remarkable individuals often face lifelong challenges, but with research, medical advancements, and community support, we can provide them with hope for healthier and brighter tomorrows.
Stepping up to address the challenges of congenital heart disease, the Adult Congenital Heart Association plays a vital role. They offer support, advocacy, and education to empower those living with this condition, striving to enhance their quality of life and advance research. Join them in making a difference for those affected by congenital heart disease.
As the Adult Congenital Heart Association continues their mission, they invite supporters to mark their calendars for the upcoming “Walk for 1 in 100” event. This unique gathering promises a day filled with community spirit and hope, uniting people in the fight against congenital heart disease. Lace up your sneakers and join this impactful event on November 05th, where every step taken brings us closer to a world free from the burdens of this condition.
WHY WE WALK
Join us as we walk for the more than 2.5 million people living with congenital heart disease (CHD) across the country. In 2023, we will host walks across the country to raise money for continued research, education and outreach for the CHD community.
We’re here to empower adults to take an active role in their cardiac care, to educate parents on the lifelong specialized care their young child will need in the future, and to support young adults through the transition to adult CHD care.
We hope you will join us and help us further our impact by supporting ACHA’s Walk for 1 in 100.
