According to the World Health Organization, “rare cancers account for about 25–30% of all cancer diagnoses and 25% of cancer deaths.” In spite of these numbers, there is a lack in research and clinical trials about rare cancers as these are very costly. It is for this reason that Cycle for Survival was established.
Cycle for Survival is the official rare cancer fundraising program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Regarded as “one of the world’s most respected comprehensive centers devoted exclusively to cancer,” MSK’s mission is to end cancer for life. To help them continue with their groundbreaking research, Cycle for Survival will have stationary-cycling rides all over the US in 2024. One of these rides will happen in Fremont Studios, Seattle on February 4. This promises to be a fun, inspiring, and adrenaline-filled event as you will all pedal towards one goal – ending the big C.
