Have you ever eaten dinner in the dark? Or tried walking blindfolded with only a white cane to help you navigate? These are what you’ll get to experience (and more!) when you attend Dinner in the Dark, a fundraising event by Leader Dogs for the Blind. Happening on March 8, 2024, at the MGM Grand Detroit, expect delicious food, amazing drinks, exciting activities, and wonderful company, to fill the night. Proceeds from this event will go to funding Leader Dogs for the Blind, an organization whose mission is “empowering people who are blind or visually impaired with lifelong skills for safe and independent daily travel.”

Dinner in the Dark is Leader Dogs for the Blind’s signature fundraising event and an experience like no other! Enjoy an incredible dinner under blindfold while helping to raise money to change the lives of people who are blind.

While mingling with other guests, have your picture taken with a Canine Ambassador on our “black carpet” entrance, try your luck at the Blind Wine Pull for $25, peruse our pop-up Leader Dog gift shop and try our Walk the Walk experience, an immersive orientation & mobility space where guests can walk with a white cane and participate in daily activity skills. Blindfold Walks with a Leader Dog in training or canine ambassador are available only with the purchase of a VIP ticket.
