YES Day Walk for Autism™: Walk for Inclusion

Put on your walking shoes and show support for people with autism.

Should people with autism have access to high-quality education and healthcare?  Should there be employment opportunities for adults with autism? Do you believe in building more supportive and inclusive communities? Do you live in Arizona? If you said yes to all the questions, then you should join Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center’s (SARRC) 4th annual YES Day Walk for Autism™. Happening on October 27 at Tempe Beach Park, you’ll get to go on a one-mile walk around the picturesque location. After the walk, you’ll be entertained by special live performances, fun carnival games, and exciting team relay races. You’ll also get to enjoy delicious food from various food trucks, plus you’ll even get a free pumpkin to decorate! Sounds amazing, right? Proceeds from this event will go to SARRC whose mission is, “To advance research and provide a lifetime of support for individuals with autism and their families.”

Amanda Friedman said, “The best things a special ed teacher brings to work are their heart and authenticity.” On October 27, you don’t need to be a special ed teacher to make a difference in the lives of people with autism. You just need your walking shoes, your heart, and your desire for a more inclusive community. Register for the 4th annual YES Day Walk for Autism™ here now.
