The Romans are considered to have made the first wicked candles by dipping rolled papyrus in melted rendered animal fat called tallow. These didn’t smell particularly good but they did provide much needed light at night. Candles have gone a long way since then, and now you can enjoy different types such as wood wick candles, soy candles, and aromatherapy candles. Get a chance to purchase a special handmade candle, and more, when you drop by Joy’s 14th Annual Arts and Crafts Show this October 25.
