Nutcracker Tea: ‘Teas the Season to be Jolly!

Enjoy tea, take photos, and watch a classic holiday ballet to support the Oklahoma City Ballet.

The Nutcracker, the Sugar Plum Fairy, Clara, and the Mouse King are some of the notable figures in the classic holiday ballet, The Nutcracker. First premiered on December 1892, this enchanting ballet tells the story of a girl and her journey through the Land of Sweets with her magical nutcracker.

This December 20, continue the holiday tradition of watching The Nutcracker by attending Nutcracker Tea at Civic Center Music Hall, Oklahoma. Not only will you get to watch fantastic performances by the Oklahoma City Ballet, you’ll also get to enjoy warm cocoa, treats, and tea with the dancers themselves!

Funds raised from this delightful event will go to Oklahoma City Ballet so they can continue to create beautiful dreamlike performances, support their current dancers, and hone new talent through dance scholarships.

Bring your friends and family as we enjoy warm cocoa, treats, and of course, tea! The Nutcracker Tea will include a short performance by our Studio Company, wonderful photo opportunities with your favorite characters from The Nutcracker, and other holiday surprises.

According to German folklore, nutrackers are guardians of the household, bringing good luck and providing protection to the family.
