People use beds for rest and relaxation. But what if for one day, you could use them to race? Strap yourselves in as it’s almost time for Flourish’s Running of the Beds! Happening on May 2 at the Grandview Road, gather your fast-rolling and fun-loving friends for a race like no other. Design and decorate your bed on wheels, then dash your way to the finish line in the most exciting bed race around town! Funds raised will go to Flourish, Kansas City’s only nonprofit furniture bank who helps families overcome housing insecurity by providing them with furniture and home essentials.

Get ready to rev up the bed wheels because Flourish’s third-annual Running of the Beds is coming soon!
The race will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, May 2 right at Flourish in Grandview! Flourish is Kansas City’s only nonprofit furniture bank.
Fun fact: “Sleep tight!” comes from the 17th to 19th century practice of tightening the ropes that supported mattresses on bed frames to keep them firm and comfortable.
