Many LGBTQ+ individuals seeking asylum flee persecution, violence, and discrimination in search of safety and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. Community support and advocacy are essential in helping asylum seekers find stability, dignity, and hope for the future.
LGBT Asylum Task Force provides housing, legal support, advocacy, and community resources for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers as they begin new lives in the United States. The organization works alongside volunteers and supporters to create a welcoming environment where asylum seekers can live safely while pursuing their immigration cases. To continue this vital mission, the organization is hosting its annual fundraising event.
The LGBT Asylum Task Force Gala will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM at Mechanics Hall. Celebrating 10 years of uplifting LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, this year’s theme, “We Persist,” highlights resilience and solidarity in support of those seeking safety and new beginnings. Guests will enjoy an evening of fundraising, community, and inspiring stories while helping sustain programs that provide critical support for LGBTQ+ immigrants and asylum seekers.
Reserve your place here to stand in solidarity with LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and help create new beginnings through compassion and advocacy.
LGBT Asylum Task Force Gala
Join us Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 5:30—11pm at Worcester’s Mechanics Hall for an evening of fundraising, community, and meaningful resistance alongside asylum seekers, volunteers, and supporters.
In this moment when LGBTQ rights, immigrant rights, and the right to asylum access are under attack, we choose to persist in our duty to protect LGBTQ asylum seekers on their journey to new beginnings.
This year marks 10 years of uplifting the voices and highlighting the struggles of LGBTQ asylum seekers at our annual Gala. We gather in solidarity with LGBTQ immigrants and asylum seekers under this year’s theme, We Persist.
