Domestic and family violence and mental health challenges affect individuals, families, and entire communities. Raising awareness, expanding access to support services, and encouraging early intervention are essential steps toward creating safer, healthier futures for everyone.
Shine Bright Foundation is dedicated to connecting people with vital community resources that support those affected by domestic and family violence and mental health challenges. Through partnerships with local organizations and prevention programs, the Foundation works to strengthen the wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities across the Fraser Coast and Wide Bay Region. To further this mission, the Foundation is hosting its signature annual fundraising and awareness event.
The One Day At A Time Gala – Event Goes Off Track (on Purpose) will take place on 26 September 2026. Now in its fourth year, the event promises to be its biggest yet, bringing together the Wide Bay community for a unique experience featuring country hospitality, campfires, and inspiring keynote speakers. The 2026 gala will place a special focus on men’s mental health, accountability in domestic and family violence prevention, and promoting wellbeing throughout the region. Funds and awareness generated through the event will support the Shine Bright Foundation’s initiatives alongside community partners, including Play and Beyond – Therapy 4 Kids, The Shine Bright Sanctuary, Shine Bright Mental Health’s Men’s & Youth Hub, Small Steps 4 Hannah, and the HALT program.
