Who says Halloween is for humans only? This October 31, bring your own Scooby-Doo, Zero, Snoopy, or Toto to Port Melbourne’s Howl-o-Ween 2026! Enjoy a spooktacular day out filled with live music, a fun dog parade, and a thrilling trick-or-treat scavenger hunt. There’ll be goodies for you and your furbabies, too! While you’re there, make sure to drop by Starting Over Dog Rescue to learn how you can support their mission to rescue dogs from Victorian pounds and help them find loving foster or furever homes.

Saturday, October 31, 10am – 2pm

Bay Street, Port Melbourne

Starting Over Dog Rescue is joining the fun at Port Melbourne’s Howl-o-ween, and we’re bringing some adoptable dogs along! Come and meet the pups looking for their forever homes, have a chat with our team, and find out how you can adopt, foster or support our rescue. Here’s what’s on:

Music from 10am – Our friends from Nova will kick things off with a DJ set, so come early, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a morning of music and entertainment.

Dog Parade at 11am – Show off your pup in their spookiest, cutest or funniest costume!

Free Professional Dog Photos – Capture a paw-fect memory with your four-legged star.

Giveaways – Plenty of fun surprises for our canine companions.

Kids’ Trick-or-Treat Scavenger Hunt – Pick up a clue sheet from Halloween HQ then explore the local traders for spooky surprises and sweet rewards.

Did you know that roughly 200 million stray dogs worldwide have no permanent home? Imagine what they have to go through just to survive each day. This November, help make a difference by visiting Starting Over Dog Rescue’s booth at Port Melbourne’s Howl-o-Ween 2026. Even stopping by to show your support can mean a lot. Register here now!
