April 21st, Ian Somerhalder (Actor) hosted an intimate and exclusive gatheringof tastemakers, influencers and celebrities all in to support his foundation whose goal is to improve the environment.
The Ian Somerhalder Foundations mission is to empower, educate andcollaborate with people and projects to affect the planet and itscreatures.
Ian introduced a world-renowned graffiti artist Erik Wahl into his gathering of guests and said I called him up and asked him to perform for ustonight.
Wahl took to an easel with a screen projecting U2s Beautiful Day andpainted a portrait of Bono within minutes. Thecelebrity guests got up from their seats and sat on the grass in awe. Ian wasso excited and kept saying Oh my God! Hes INCREDIBLE. Repeatedly.
After theperformance, Wahl surprised Ian with a portrait of the Vampire star. Later that evening, Ian joked to his beau Nina Dobrev, I bet I could draw one ofthese of you and Nina asked for a painting as well. Ian plans to sell thesepaintings for his charity The Ian Somerhalder Foundation as they sure are worthhundreds of thousands of dollars.
The coming together of like-minded individuals through action is what’sneeded to see wide spread change for us, our planet and its creatures.
