Golf tournament benefits Lecanto High School band

World Woods Golf Club is hosting the fourth annual Lecanto High School Band Golf Tournament at 9 a.m.
Sept. 26. The event will be played on World Woods’ Pine Barrens course, and the format is a four-player scramble. Cost is $60 per golfer, and there will be trophies, prizes, and longest drive and closest to the pin contests. LITTLE BUDDIES: The city of Brooksville Recreation Department is holding registration for its Little Buddies The First Tee golf program for children ages 5 to 10. The program is geared toward beginners and is Thursdays, running Sept. 10 until Oct. 29. Sessions are from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. at the Quarry Golf Course in Brooksville. The registration fee is $60, which includes a T-shirt.
