It’s all about the ladies on Thursday, Sept.
10 at Kingswood Golf Course, with a day filled with great golf, wonderful prizes and exciting surprises. This is the third year for the Ladies Charity Golf Classic presented by HSBC Bank Canada in support of the Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation. “This isn’t a tournament as such. This is a fun day, a charity event, and the ladies can expect all kinds of indulgences on the course,” says Judy Wood, the chairperson of the event. “There will be fun things happening out there, an excellent meal to follow and prizes for everyone.” Out on the course, there will be lots of extra games, says Christine Little, event co-ordinator with the Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation. “Things like straightest drive, longest drive, a putting competition.” You don’t have to be the best player to win one of the fabulous prizes organizers have lined up. “We don’t want to focus too much on winners but we do have a first place and a most honourable,” says Wood. “The rest of it is (awarded) by draws.” That’s what makes this such a wonderful event for ladies of all skill levels.
“Everybody gets a chance to win the nice prizes, it doesn’t matter your skill level,” she says.
