fun day. FAMILIES are invited to a fun day at Old Nick’s Tavern, Horncastle, to help raise money for a children’s charity. Big Arvo 4th takes place on Sunday, to raise money for the When You Wish Upon A Star charity. The day will feature a line-up of live music with sounds from Ford T – a four-piece rock band from Aalborg, in Denmark – as well as a raffle and barbecue. Headlining will be glam rock band from Norfolk Mr Pink, playing all party favourites, the Almaboobies along with Moonshine Crows from Hull, Merlin’s Keep from Grimsby, Paul Gibbard from Lincoln and Harmonica Dave from Horncastle. A spokesman for Old Nick’s Tavern said: “This promises to be a family fun-packed event with an impressive band line-up, a big raffle with a brand new push bike as the star prize, and, as always, good quality real ales featuring our very own brew called Big Arvo 4th brewed and supplied by Phil and Dawn from Fulstow Brewery. “The bands appearing in this year’s Big Arvo 4th have been cherry picked so that only the best will grace Old Nick’s Tavern with their entertaining performances. This biggest coup of the event is Ford T.
“The Big Arvo 4th is in aid of When You Wish Upon A Star, a local charity that grants wishes for terminally ill children.”
