Help for charities: Tournament officials at the Northern Trust Open have extended charitable organizations in the Los Angeles area the opportunity to participate in Tickets Fore Charity, a fundraising platform designed to improve the quality of life in communities where PGA Tour events are held. The new program will offer organizations a chance to raise funds by promoting tickets sales to the Northern Trust Open, which will be held Feb. 1-7, 2010, at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades. Tickets Fore Charity enables participating charities to receive contributions based on the number of tickets sold in their name. One hundred percent of net proceeds from tickets purchased through the program will go to charity, with 75 percent to the charity promoting the tickets and 25 percent to the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce Charity Foundation.
Non-profit organizations interested in participating in the Tickets Fore Charity program may contact Katy Pradella in the tournament office at 310-838-3098.
