Want some new clothes for yourself or your kids, but out of cash Here are some ideas to get some new clothes in your
wardrobe without spending a dime. 1. Shop your closet. says, “I take my time, and looking with fresh eyes, I try on several pieces until I have coordinated a brand new outfit.” Put together pieces that you’ve never worn together to create new looks and styles. 2. Host a clothing swap. Invite over friends or plan an event in conjunction with your play group, , civic or church group. For moms, every one brings clothes that don’t fit or work for them anymore, and everyone else gets to try on and trade. Fashion shows usually follow with some funny and some serious outfits. For kids, outgrown clothes are swapped and shared between moms. Leftover clothes can be donated to the Goodwill or another charity. 3. A great way to get “new” clothes for your kids is to get in a down line from a friend who has an older child than you. My sister sends all my niece’s clothing for my daughter who is 2 years younger. I then pass them, along with any new clothes I’ve purchased, to another friend who has a younger daughter. We all get some fun “new” outfits for our kids for free. With a little thought and ingenuity, you will soon be wearing some new (to you) outfits that didn’t cost you a dime. Happy Shopping!
