Sport Lara, Gayle on show in charity T20 CMC PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) – Batting legend Brian Lara and West Indies captain Chris
Gayle will both appear in a charity Twenty20 match when a Trinidad & Tobago side face a West Indies XI at the Queen’s Park Oval here today. Lara, the world record-holder for the highest Test and first-class scores, will lead T&T, while Gayle will skipper the Windies side. Several West Indies players who missed the series against Bangladesh will be on show. Brothers Dwayne and Darren Bravo, wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin and Adrian Barath will turn out for T&T with Fidel Edwards and Jerome Taylor expected to line up under Gayle.
Lara, who quit international cricket following the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean, will be playing his first-ever Twenty20 match in the region.
