WOODSTOCK, Ont.
— The mother of missing eight-year-old Victoria Stafford says she is “praying to God†that whoever has her daughter will find it in their heart to bring her back. “I’m praying to God that somebody feels in their heart and soul that what they have done is wrong and just drop her off, anywhere,†McDonald said Monday. “In a field. Somewhere remote where nobody sees them drop her off. Just drop her off so that somebody can find her.†Ms. McDonald also said she knows her daughter must be equally frustrated. “She’s a mommy’s girl,†Ms. McDonald said, fighting back tears. “And she’s missing her mommy. Guaranteed. I doubt that she’s been quiet for them or calm for them. I guarantee that she has been a hellion, I’m sure.†Stafford’s aunt also announced Monday a charity motorcycle ride will be held May 2 in Woodstock. “This is a charity ride to help the family at this time with what they’re going through,†said Linda Jacklin. Dubbed, “Tori’s Ride Home,†the event will be followed by a community barbecue and concert. The family hoping is that by then, the event will also be a celebration.
“We’re hoping she will be on this ride with us,†Ms. Jacklin said.
