Swimmers being asked to take the plunge for charity

PEOPLE from throughout the East Kilbride and Strathaven area are being invited to sign up for a charity swimming challenge.
The Great Scottish Swim is a new one-mile mass participation open water swim and is the first event of its kind to be held in the region. The event takes place at Strathclyde Country Park on Saturday, August 29 and provides a real challenge to expert swimmers and amateurs alike. The charity want people to get in touch and secure their place now. All they ask is that each swimmer pays a registration fee of &pound30 and raises at least &pound150 for their charity. PEOPLE from throughout the East Kilbride and Strathaven area are being invited to sign up for a charity swimming challenge.
