TIMES MMA QampA SERIES The Voice of the Octagon Bruce Buffer

MattE takes you inside the explosive world of Mixed Martial Arts with all the latest news, previews, rumors, exclusive interviews and features, hitting on
everything from the big show UFC to regional promotions. If you weren’t doing what you’re doing now, what line of work do you think you might have wound up in I would have continued to find that perfect product I believed in and opened a company to sell and market it to the world. I’ve owned and run many companies and never worry about getting knocked down to the canvas and having to start all over again. I’m a survivor by nature and pride myself on my “warrior spirit” attitude when shooting for the stars. You’ve been there from the beginning &mdash you’ve seen the early days of the UFC when there were “no rules.” You were there as it modified things, but had major financial problems. You were there when the Fertittas and Dana White came along and started to build things up. Now you’re there, right in the middle of it all as it gets closer every day to the mainstream. What do you think the future is for MMA and for the UFC in particular The future is golden for the UFC, and Dana is leading us down the yellow brick road of MMA. It is the “Star Wars” event of MMA and always will be with all other promotions following in its jet streams as it leads the way for MMA into the mainstream of sports. Dana White and the Fertittas are at the helm of this rocketship moving uphill &mdash and I’ve got a first-class seat, which I love. The UFC is the premier brand that all recognize when it comes to MMA, and will propel this great sport into one of the most popular sports in the world &mdash possibility becoming bigger than the NFL internationally within the next five years.
